The Arts

Music     

Students take instrumental music in 6th grade and then have the option of continuing music classes in 7th and 8th grades.  

The music classes and select band perform in school concerts.  Many students also have opportunities to perform for special events throughout the year. 

Visual Art 

Like music, students take visual art in 6th grade and then have the option of continuing art classes in 7th and 8th grades.  

The art students share their work during evening art shows.  Visual art pieces also hang throughout the building to highlight our students' creativity year round. 

Theater 

8th grade students have the opportunity to prepare theater auditions in an afterschool group. In the past, students have had more regular opportunities to participate in theater including as a part of their Cerebral Diversity (CD) course work or had the opportunity to take Technical Theater as their Quest choic, and in years past we have had a spring performance.
